Fourth Sunday in Easter
In today’s Gospel, Jesus reveals Himself as both the Good Shepherd and the gate for the sheep. He calls each of His sheep by name, and they recognize His voice and follow Him. This powerful image reminds us that our relationship with Christ is personal, guided not by fear, but by trust and love.
Jesus contrasts His care with those who lead astray, saying that He has come so that we might have life, and have it more abundantly. In a world filled with many competing voices, this Gospel invites us to listen more closely for the voice of Christ and to follow where He leads.
As we gather for Holy Mass, we are reminded that we are never alone. Christ walks ahead of us, guiding, protecting, and leading us toward His peace. May we open our hearts to hear His voice and follow Him with faith and confidence.
