Thirty- first Sunday in Ordinary Time
Nov 2, 2025
In this Sunday’s Gospel, we meet Zacchaeus, a wealthy tax collector who climbs a sycamore tree just to catch a glimpse of Jesus. To his surprise, Jesus stops, looks up, and calls him by name: “Zacchaeus, come down quickly, for today I must stay at your house.”
This encounter transforms Zacchaeus’s heart he rejoices, repents, and chooses to make things right. Jesus reminds us that He came “to seek and to save what was lost.” No one is beyond His reach, and every sincere heart can find mercy and new life in His presence.
