Twenty-sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time
Sep 28, 2025
26th Sunday in Ordinary Time:
In today’s Gospel, Jesus gives us the parable of the rich man and Lazarus. The rich man lived in comfort, ignoring the suffering poor man at his very door. After death, their fortunes were reversed, Lazarus is carried to Abraham’s side, while the rich man suffers in torment.
The message is clear: indifference to the needs of others has eternal consequences. We are called to open our eyes and hearts now, to see Christ in the poor and suffering, and to live with mercy. As Abraham reminds the rich man, God’s Word has already been given to guide us, what remains is our response.
