Solemnity of the Word of God
Each year, the Polish National Catholic Church joyfully observes the Solemnity of the Word of God as a special celebration of the power, truth, and life found in the Holy Scriptures. Instituted to emphasize the central role of the Bible in the life of the faithful, this solemnity reminds us that the Word of God is not just a book, it is a living encounter with Jesus Christ, who is the Eternal Word made flesh (John 1:14).
On this day, we are encouraged to reflect on how Sacred Scripture shapes our lives, strengthens our faith, and guides our actions. The readings proclaimed during Mass are given special reverence, and we are reminded of our call to not only listen to the Word but also to live it out daily.
As a PNCC community, this solemnity deepens our commitment to both personal and communal reading of the Bible, whether in prayer, study, or family settings and renews our understanding that the Scriptures are God's gift to guide, comfort, and inspire us.
Let this Solemnity be a moment of renewal in your relationship with God's Word. Open your heart to it. Let it speak to you. Let it lead you ever closer to Christ.
